

Preceded in death by her parents, Rev. John Edward “Ed” and Sylvia Dahlen-Snow and brother, Philip Dahlen. Survived by her sister, Judy Bright; children, Jeff (Jeri) Pasbrig, Kris (Jim) Mellor, and Kelly (Mike) Swanson; Grandchildren, Janell (Shaun) Hansen, Angela (William) Pasbrig, Felicia (Jon) Enns, Chelsea (Josh) Meyers, Joel (Shannon) Mellor, Casey (Charley) Swanson, Connor Swanson, and her beloved twelve great-grandchildren.
Marian was born June 16, 1941, in Ottawa, Illinois. At the age of 6-years-old her family moved to Fairport, NY, where her father served as pastor of First Baptist Church of Fairport. Six years later, at the age of 12, her family moved to Mapleton MN when her father answered the call to serve as pastor of The United Church of Mapleton.
Marian graduated from Mapleton High School and went on to attend Business College at Mankato Commercial College where she received her Approved Secretary Certification and later her associate in arts degree from North Hennepin Community College, Brooklyn Park, MN. Over the years, Marian held various public sector and government related secretarial positions to include the U.S. Department of Agriculture, in Washington D.C., The U.S. Navy Air Station in Virginia Beach. VA., The Cities of Albert Lea and Bloomington, MN and 30-years with the City of Brooklyn Park, MN where she was the Assistant to the City Manager, retiring at the age of 60.
Marian will be remembered for her strong abiding faith, love and compassion for others, kind and giving heart, joy for music, singing and dancing, sewing and crafting, bargain shopping, traveling, and especially spending time with her family and friends.
A celebration of Life will occur on Saturday, February 24th, 2024.
Visitation at 11:00 am, Service at 12:00 pm followed by a luncheon.
