Mike was preceded in death by his parents John and Ina (Finnegan) Burns and sister Nancy Burns. Survived by wife and best friend of 28 years, Liz Burns, daughters Michaela (Riley) Laulainen (27) and Emily Burns (23) and siblings Mary Mauricio, John (Claudia) Burns, Karen (Phil) Gewedik, Steven Burns, Mary and Paul Schoolmeesters, Edward Powell and many beloved nieces and nephews.
Mike loved music, his dogs; Winnie and Lucy, camping and the outdoors, spending time with family and friends, and enjoying the liveliness of his neighborhood, Northeast Minneapolis.
