uncle bob,  i always loved you for being my uncle, and will never will forget you, and aunt gen. sorry for all of the family ,  you will be missed.

I loved my Bumpa and he always made me smile.  He called me "Kari" the Norwegian way and I loved that.  He was a wonderful man and I will miss him.  I keep saying to myself and everyone else that it was a blessing - he had a wonderful life, he's with Nana and he's happy now.  But, it still doesn't change the fact that he's gone and can never be replaced.  I will think of him often and keep his memory alive, like like we do with Grandma by telling stories about him to my children.

He was my grandfather and while I am happy for him I am sad that he is gone.  I will miss fishing with him, but mostly just sitting and talking with him.  I am sure somewhere in heaven he is with my Grandma and he is playing cribbage with Claude Ingram.  15-2-15-4 and there are no more.  Go.

My grandfather, Bill Norquist, was Bob's cousin, and often we would see Bob and Gen when we were up at the cabin near Grand Marais.  Whenever Bob and Gen came by, they brought smiles and laughter with them.  As a young child, I remember always liking when they were around.  If we went to their cabin, Bob made sure I immediately had a piece of candy from their candy dish.  He was a kind and loving man and I will always remember him fondly.

Bob was my grandfather's cousin and I enjoyed visiting him and Gen when we were "up north" at the cabin.  Their gracious spirit and kindness made a deep impression on me, and Bob's example continues to inspire.  I'm so grateful to have known him and want to extend my sympathy to his family.

Uncle Bob was truly a gentle giant and I will miss my visits with him.  For a few years, he was a great 'sounding post' for me.  I'd visit, talk away,  ask advice and his experience with words of wisdom always encouraged me.  I also am so impressed with the love and care given him by the family, especially Jeanne and Bob. Uncle Bob was so graceous and accepting of the changes in his life, especially the last years.  He taught me how to finish well.  Love you Uncle Bob.  Becky Hamoud

Bob and Genevieve were my neighbors on County Road B2.
They were the best neighbors anyone could ask for.  We had many visits across the yard, and I've missed talking to Bob after he moved.

I was so very fortunate to have met Bob 8 months ago at work...in that short time he definitely changed my life.  He made my job worth while and helped me get through the tough days at the home.  I am going to miss him telling me how well I did my job and of course my daily hugs!  Miss you already Bobbo!  Hope you are up there playing your harmonica :)
