I'm so sorry for your loss. I never met Roger but I feel compelled to write.  Today while cleaning out a room I discovered 2 signed prints. I googled the artists name and found this notice - perhaps my only opportunity to communicate with Rogers family. Oh I hope you don't think this is heartless, that's not my intent, 
The prints were personalized "To Laura, with love, Roger"  My Great Aunt Laura(Ekstrom)was the hostess for years at Daytons downtown Minneapolis, at the Oak Grill and she befriended many people.  She too passed away recently.  
I thought your family would like to have these prints. One is a winter scene at the Minnehaha Depot - (the name is on the wall)the colors are so bright, and people are dressed in warm coats. The second print looks like an old mill in the winter, the building is red - and there are a couple of figures amongst the collapsed structure.  I thought these might have more meaning to you, your friends or perhaps a public location where they could be displayed and enjoyed.  Please contact me and I'll arrange to send them.
I wish Aunt Laura were here so I could ask her if this is the right thing to do, I miss her.  I mean no harm only kindness.  
I do send heartfelt condolences for the loss of your husband and father.  The world was a better place when that generation was in it's prime.

I worked for Rumsey, Lundquist and Assoc in the early 70's as the secretary. They did beaurtiful artwork for a major company.  I felt lucky to work there. 2 partners and 2 artists who were talented. I was acquainted with one of Roger's daughters.  A very good family man!

Dear TR, Suzy and Chuck,
I have so many fond memories of both of your folks and the big house in Tyrol. They were both so nice and welcoming and let us run free (in the basement, that is) I remember your dad letting us smash the slate out of the pool table with a hammer!

We have lost a wonderful person. I got to know Roger and his family at the Minneapolis Golf Club and they were such kind and welcoming people, and I felt the warmth of their friendship every time I saw them. Roger was a special man and I wish I could have been at his service. My sympathies to the family.

My deepest and heartfelt sympathy to all of you.  I just heard the sad news tonight.  Steve and I are in Florida for the winter so unfortunately we will not be able to attend the service.  Please know we are thinking of you and sending hugs! 
One of my memories of Roger is when I would come over to the house when Suzy and I were going to go someplace and he would invite me to sit in the den so we could "chat" while waiting for Suzy to finish getting ready.  He always had some good story to tell or questions to ask.  Such a kind man.
