Stanley Alexander Kissner

Stanley Alexander Kissner passed away peacefully surround by his family on December 13, 2025 at the age of 81 after a long-fought battle with COPD and emphysema. He was born in St. Paul, MN on August 18, 1944 to Alex and Katherine Kissner.

Beloved husband, father, papa and great papa. Raised in the North End Area and a graduate of the former Washington High School in St. Paul. He was an avid bowler and had a deep passion for fishing especially trying to catch that muskie. We have many fond memories of our family vacations at Cedarwild Resort in Deer River, MN as well as many other family vacations taken over the years. He also enjoyed doing woodworking and built many items for everyone through the years.

Stanley had a deep love for his family and cherished every moment spent with them. His grandkids and great grandkids were the biggest light of his life.

Stanley is preceded in death by his parents, Alex and Katherine Kissner, parents-in-law William (Bill) and Lorriane Tucci, brother and sister-in-law Gordon and Nadia Kissner, brother-in-law Harold (Wes) Westgard and niece Kara Tucci.

Survived by wife Sandra Kissner, children Shari Kissner (Rick) and Becky Strub (Mark).

Grandchildren Justin Kepler (Jessica), Amanda Hunter (Jon), Josh Kepler (Anna), Dillon Strub, Andrew Strub, Ryan Strub and Elizabeth Strub.

Great Grandchildren Hailey Kepler, Cody Kepler, Sophia Kepler, Lukas Kepler, Everett Hunter and Isla Hunter.

Also survived by siblings Dolores Westgard, Darrell (Barb) Kissner, Sharon (Larry) Schmidt and many nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, December 22, 2025 at Sunset Kapala Glodek Funeral Home, Minneapolis at 12:30 pm with visitation beginning at 11:30 am. Burial will be held at Sunset Cemetery, Minneapolis.
