She was predeceased by her parents Eric and Ida Ackers and her husband Richard Hellstrom. She is survived by her daughters Maisie Dailey (Richard), and Else-May Henry (Larry). Four grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.
Elise was trained as a hairdresser in Finland and operated two hairdressing shops in the Vancouver area after the family moved to New Westminster, BC in 1957.
Elsie was known as Mommo by her family. A slang name for mother's mother.
She loved to sing, dance, golf and spend time in a swimming pool.
She will be greatly missed by her family.
