It is with sadness that we announce the passing of Emery Joseph Meunier, who was born in Moncton, NB on August 27, 1935, and passed away peacefully at the age of 77 years, on Thursday morning, January 24, 2013 in Mission, BC.
The doctor said Emery died with dignity with his wife by his side when his heart acutely stopped, following his battle with Leukemia.
One or other must leave, one or the other must stay,
One or the other must grieve, that is forever the way.
That is the vow that was sworn, faithful ‘til death do us part,
Braving what has to be born, widening the ache in the heart.
One how so ever adored, first must be summoned away,
That is the will of the Lord- one or the other must stay.!
Emery his survived by his wife, Anne, 2 step-sons, 5 grandchildren, and 4 great grandchildren. Also survived by his oldest sister Doris from Moncton, NB, sister Rita from Tillsonberg, Ont., brothers Alyre (Alice) and Regie, both of Moncton, NB., as well as many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
Emery is predeceased by his parents, Emile and Rose Meunier in Moncton NB, brothers Art (Dorothy) and Roger in Moncton, NB, and sister Geneva (Louis) in Tillsonberg, Ont., brother in laws, Les in Tillsonberg, Ont. and Fred in Moncton, NB.
To pay tribute and say our goodbyes, a private family graveside service will be held at a later date.
