An entrepreneur by nature, Scott was driven, resourceful, and fiercely independent. A great friend to many, he lived life on his own terms and packed more experiences into his years than most could ever dream. Fearless at heart, Scott embraced life fully — playing hockey as a teen, racing a top fuel Harley, boxing, performing in a band, and even learning to fly a helicopter. Whatever he took on, he did with passion, confidence, and an unmistakable sense of humour.
Scott was a fighter. He met life head-on, refused to be defined by limits, and never asked permission to live the way he chose. He trusted his instincts, lived boldly, and remained unapologetically himself. His life was his own, and he lived it exactly the way he wanted.
Proud of his roots, Scott loved Mission deeply and carried that pride with him wherever he went. He also had a profound love for animals, finding comfort, companionship, and joy in them — a reflection of his generous heart and quiet tenderness.
Scott is survived by his loving parents, Fred and Bettylou Clarke; his siblings, Louis Clarke and Markie Clarke; his children, Fred, Brittany, and Shaina; and his extended family — grandchildren (Vasco, Wyatt and Luke), nieces, nephews, and cousins — all of whom knew his love and the spirit of his presence in their lives.
Scott will be remembered for his entrepreneurial spirit, his loyalty as a friend, his love for animals, his pride in his hometown, and the fearless way he fought for and lived his life.
His fight is over; his spirit is free.
There will be a family and close friend gathering to honour his memory. A celebration of Scott’s life will be held Friday, February 20th at The Captain’s Cabin Pub in Mission, BC, from 5 pm until 9 pm.
