Mary Frances Clement

Our beloved Mary left this world on June 22nd, 2016. She lived a life with dignity, integrity and grace. She was born November 17th, 1927 to John T. and Mabel Knagge in Oracle, Arizona. She was a graduate of Tucson High, class of 1945, and nursing graduate of the L.A. County Nurses Training Program, class of 1949. In addition to becoming a Registered Nurse, Mary was a highly respected licensed Family Nurse Practitioner. She married the love of her life Robert E. Clement on October 25th, 1952 in North Hollywood, Ca. She was a resident of the San Fernando Valley for 28 years and of the Santa Clarita Valley for 36 years. Her selfless passion to help others will be greatly missed and her absence will be felt deeply for years to come. From Catholic Church Parishes, Royal Cavalier Youth Band chaperoning, Women’s Clubs, 50+ Club, Arizonia and Santa Clarita Valley Historical Societies, Scouts, Tucson High Badger Foundation to name only a few. Her love of volunteering as an R.N., F.N.P. to the nonprofit organization known as MEND (Meet Each Need with Dignity) for almost 30 years was a life line between her career and helping the needy. To quote a colleague and dear friend, “Mary was larger than life.” She loved fiercely her children, grandchildren, great grandchildren and every one in between. Preceded in death by husband Robert and daughter Margaret. She is survived by son David R. Clement of Willits, Ca. son Richard E. Clement of Canyon Country, Ca. daughter Patti (Tim) Holden of Littlerock, Ca. daughter Lois (Don) McArthur of Glide, Or. daughter Carolyn (Bill) McCracken of Littlerock, Ca. son Robert J. Clement of Clovis, Ca. daughter Katie Kovacs of Canyon County, Ca. grandchildren Adam (Amy) Ginsberg, Jason (Tiffany) McCracken, Sarah (Mike) Coogle, Amanda (Chris) Hurley, Elizabeth Holden, Robert J. Clement Jr., Cara Holden, Jessica Kovacs, Thomas Holden, Allyson Kovacs, Andrea Kovacs, Madeleine McArthur, Bridget (Rod) Pruett, Timothy Dovel, great grandchildren Matthew, Christian, Kaden, Addlee, Shawn, Abram, Aubree,Taylor and Joe.
