

Raymond Acosta Rodriguez , 81, died Monday, June 13th, 2016 at home in Arleta, California following his long illness with Diabetes and Parkinson’s Disease. He was born on October 3rd, 1934 in Los Angeles, California to parents Jesus Rodriguez and Lorenza Acosta. Raymond was the youngest boy of seven brothers and sisters; Jesus Rodriguez Jr., Bertha Rodriguez, Angela (Rodriguez) Rios, Joe M. Rodriguez, Hector A. Rodriguez, and Jenny (Rodriguez) Vargas. In 1957 he enlisted in the U.S. Army at the age of 22 and served his country until 1959. He met his wife, Felicitas Barajas, in North Hollywood, California in 1961 and they were married on April 28th, 1962. He was a family man, enjoyed the outdoors, watching his Westerns and War movies, working with his hands, and was very creative in his building skills. His main focus in life was always making sure the family had what they needed and never complained. He also liked to take family vacations every year, which included taking along more than just his own children, but others family members and friends. Yosemite was usually the vacation of choice, along with Mammoth and Hawaii. He leaves behind his wife of 54 years Felicitas (Barajas) Rodriguez; his daughter, Anna Aldana and her husband (Tony); his son, Norman Rodriguez; his daughter, Helen James and her husband (Stephen); and his grandson, Kamren James; and his granddaughter, Adrianna Aldana; and a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends.
