

Tony (Antonio) V. Ferrer, Jr. (May 1, 1951 - October 16, 2015) Resident of Los Angeles, California. After a courageous battle with kidney problems, Tony passed away at Kaiser Permanente Hospital-Sunset in Los Angeles. He was born and raised in Manaoag, Pangasinan, Philippines, and graduated from Makati High School before migrating to the USA in 1975. He recently retired from the City of Los Angeles after working there for approximately 30 years.
Tony was one of five children born to the late Antonio Sr. and Marcela Ferrer. He was the beloved husband of Leah Sia-Ferrer for 32 years. Tony will always be remembered by his devoted brothers and sister. Fred, Rudy, Ador, and Gloria, along with their spouses and countless friends and relatives who were blessed to know him. Tony also had a special bond with his friends relatives who were blessed to know him. Tony also had a special bond with his nephews and nieces: Melissa, Raymond, Dennis, Donna and Irwin who he considered his own.
Outside of his family circle, Tony had a special relationship with his wife's relatives, especially Francis, Elena, Tiffany, Daniel and their parents.
Although Tony was known as a man of few words, he touched the lives of many people with his sincere demeanor and most of all his kindness and generosity, especially to people less fortunate than he was. He was a faithful member of Christ In You the Hope of Glory International Ministry at Orange County for ore than 20 years. He was in charge of the sound system and spearheaded the Mexico ministry using his own resources to help the poor.
Tony and Leah were then called to serve at Gospa Prayer House in North Hills. Tony resumed his sound system ministry providing new equipment.
He loved and lived deeply, always supporting the others no matter the circumstances. Some of his passions in life included biking and basketball. He watched the cycling marathons and his favorite basketball. He watched cycling marathons and his favorite basketball team, the Lakers, on any given night-- always looking forward to the start of the NBA season.
His favorite moments were his frequent trips to the Philippines with his family while still engaging in supporting the poor by feeding them. Tony's life was truly a testimony of God's faithfulness that touched all the lives around him.
Friends and family are invited to attend the Tony's funeral on Saturday, October 24 at 9:00 am at the Mission Hills Catholic Mortuary at 11160 Stranwood Avenue in Mission Hills, CA 91345 with burial to follow there at the San Fernando Mission Cemetery where Tony will be placed to rest.
Tony will be missed by al his family and friends him loved him very much.
