Born on August 18, 1945, to Ester and Enrique Farias, Alvesa lived a life filled with love, laughter, and compassion. She dedicated herself to her family and her community, finding great joy in being a substitute teacher — a role she cherished for the opportunity it gave her to connect with and inspire young minds.
Alvesa was a loving and devoted mother, whose greatest joy came from caring for and nurturing her family. She especially adored her grandchildren — spoiling them every chance she got, and cherishing the time they spent together. Her warmth, patience, and playful spirit made her a beloved presence in their lives.
She had a creative soul and a generous heart. Alvesa loved to sew and proudly made her own wedding dress. She enjoyed quiet moments working on crossword puzzles, watching Wheel of Fortune, and traveling — especially trips to Las Vegas, which brought her so much joy and excitement.
She is survived by her loving husband, Ricardo Pena; her daughter Alvesa Anzaldua; her sons Ricardo Pena Jr. and Rolando Pena; and her grandchildren Ryan Pena, Andres Anzaldua, Aaden Anzaldua, and Alec Anzaldua. She also leaves behind her sister Odilia Garcia and her brother Servando Farias.
Alvesa is preceded in death by her parents Ester and Enrique Farias, and her siblings Aida Villarreal, Enrique Farias, Serafin Farias, and Efrain Farias.
Her memory will forever live on in the hearts of her family and all who knew and loved her. She will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered.
