It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Arturo Murillo on April 28, 2025, at the age of 64. Born on January 29, 1961, to Ramon Ibarra Murillo and Maria Martha Gomez, Arturo lived a life full of love, dedication, and joy.
Arturo was a devoted husband to his spouse Marisela Murillo of 42 years, and a proud father to his children: Arturo Murillo Jr., Stephanie Murillo (Mario “Mice”), and Isaiah Z. Murillo. He was a loving brother to Hector Murillo (Rosey), Raymond Murillo (Gracie), Ramiro Murillo (Reyna), Janie Martinez (Sonny), and Danny Murillo (Leyda). He was also a cherished uncle, friend, and confidant to many.
Arturo is preceded by his sister San Juanita Murillo.
Arturo’s passion for life was evident in all that he did. He was an avid early riser, who enjoyed spending his mornings at the gym and reading the newspaper, keeping up with the latest news. A skilled storyteller, Arturo had an amazing ability to bring stories to life with vivid details and humor that captured the hearts of those around him. His love for music, particularly classic rock, was a constant source of joy, and he was always eager to hear his son, Isaiah, play the trumpet. Arturo was also a loyal fan of the Dallas Cowboys, a passion he shared with his family and friends.
Arturo was proud of his heritage and the deep roots he held as a migrant worker. He carried with him the values of hard work and perseverance, traits that he brought with him to his career as a dialysis technician at Fresenius. There, he worked side by side with his brother, becoming a "dialysis warrior" and touching the lives of countless patients. He later retired, dedicating his time to his family and enjoying long conversations with loved ones on the phone.
As a man of great compassion, Arturo also chose to become an organ donor, and his legacy continues through his selfless decision to help others. He was honored in the "Hero’s Walk," a testament to his generous spirit.
Arturo’s passing leaves a void in the hearts of his family, friends, and all who knew him. He will be deeply missed for his kind heart, his laughter, and his unwavering love for those he held dear. May his memory live on in the stories we share, the music we listen to, and the lessons he taught us all.
