He was preceded in death by his parents Daniel and Antonia Villarreal; his brother Roberto Villarreal and sister Mary Anna Mery.
He is survived by his brothers Ruben(Arminda) Villarreal, Reynaldo(Yolanda) Villarreal and Juan Rodolfo Mery. Dan is also survived by his niece and nephews Joey Villarreal, Jaime Villarreal, John Ruben Villarreal and Cynthia Villarreal.
Visitation will be held on Friday, May 23, 2025 at Funeraria Del Angel in Mission from 4:00 pm to 9:00 pm with a prayer service at 6:30 pm. Funeral service will be held on Saturday, May 24, 2025 at Funeraria Del Angel at 10:00 am. Burial and military honors will follow at La Piedad Cemetery in McAllen, Texas.
