Daniel Arturo Ramirez Sr. of Mission, TX went to be with the Lord on Thursday February 3, 2022 surrounded by his wife and children. Daniel was born on July 9, 1950, in Mission, Texas to Hinosencio and Maria Flores Ramirez. He was a lifelong resident of Mission and loved his community. Some will remember his younger years as he worked for David's Pharmacy and later as a general manager at Klinck Drug Stores before finding his calling as a very prominent business owner of Danny's Mexican Restaurants for over 35 years. Danny's Mexican Restaurants was one of the proudest accomplishments for him and the legacy he leaves behind. Danny was a very hardworking compassionate person who was always trying to feed someone or always the first person to offer any kind of help, never asking for recognition or praise. Some might've not understood his humor, but that was just him. If you met Danny, you would never forget that infamous intimidating handshake when meeting him.
Danny married his high school sweetheart Gracie who he called his "Pollita" and had four children Rosanna, Danny Jr, Marissa and Anaisa. Gracie and Danny were happily married for 48 years and Gracie was the love of his life. There wasn't a time that you didn't see them together and they were inseparable. Danny was never a part time grandpa, he loved all his grandchildren with all his heart. He had a magical way of making everyone feel like they were his favorite. He lived to spoil his wife, kids and grandchildren. He always said that his greatest accomplishment in life were his children and grandchildren who he loved dearly.
He loved his extended family, employees and friends. He enjoyed spending time feeding and entertaining everyone. He also enjoyed planning outings and spending time with his Whataburger Club. He loved his old western movies, WWE wrestling and was a diehard Dallas Cowboys fan.
Danny lived life everyday strong in his faith in the Lord and will be forever be remembered as an amazing husband, dad, grandpa, brother and friend. He will forever remain in the hearts of all those lives he touched.
