He was preceded in death by his parents Bernando and Amada Sanchez.
He is survived by his loving wife Angie Sanchez; by his children Crystal Sanchez and Joshua Sanchez; and by extended family.
Daniel was a devoted man of faith whose life was guided by his love for God, his family, and his community. A proud retired officer of the Edinburg Police Department, he served with honor, integrity, and a deep sense of duty. Outside of his years in uniform, Daniel found peace in the outdoors, especially while hunting, where he felt most connected to nature. He was a loyal fan of the Dallas Cowboys, rarely missing a game and always cheering them on with passion. Daniel will be remembered for his strength, his faith, and the steady presence he brought to those who knew and loved him.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, April 7, 2026 a Funeraria Del Angel in Mission from 2:00 pm to 9:00 pm with a prayer service at 7:00 pm. Funeral service will be held on Wednesday, April 8, 2026 at Funeraria Del Angel at 2:00 pm. Burial will follow at Valley Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Mission.
