Estela Galaviz, 63, died April 2nd, 2016 at Arbor View Nursing Home, Edinburg, TX. Born in Edinburg, Estela lived there all her life. She enjoyed family gatherings and novelas. Estela was never late to social events and always took home a memento. She was known for her love of animals, especially her dog, Logan. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her. She is preceded in death by her father, Felipe Galaviz and brother, Arturo Galaviz. She is survived by her daughter, Roxanne Galaviz, her mother, Elena Galaviz, siblings Felipe, Jr. (Amalia) Galaviz, Angelita Alvarado, Roberto (Mary) Galaviz, Pedro (Sylvia) Galaviz, Leticia (Raul) Balderas, Pablo (Eloisa) Galaviz, Salvador (Alma Delia) Galaviz and numerous nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held from 2 to 9 p.m., with a 7 p.m. rosary today, April 3, 2016, at Funeraria del Angel, 3611 North Taylor Road in Mission. Funeral service will take place at 1 p.m. Monday, April 4, 2016, at St.Joseph the Worker Catholic Church in San Carlos. Interment will follow at Val Verde Memorial Gardens in Donna.
