He is preceded in death by his son Raymond Allen.
Gilbert is survived by his loving wife of 42 years Eva Allen.
Gilbert was a hard worker and owner of Allen at McAllen Ornamental Iron.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, February 28, 2021 at Funeraria Del Angel in Mission from 3:00 pm to 9:00 pm with a prayer service at 7:00 pm. Funeral service will be held on Monday, March 1, 2021 at BT Church in McAllen at 10:00 am. Burial will follow at Valley Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
