Joaquin Salinas

He is survived by his wife, Maria H. Salinas, his daughter, Diane C. Salinas, son, Rene "Ed" Salinas (Maria), daughter, Angela Salinas-Oviedo (Jessie), step-daughters, Dora Quintanilla (Alex) and Nora Lisa Tellez, and step-son, Dr. Manuel Tellez III (Janna). He is also survived by eight sisters: Amalia, Isabel, Janie, Adelaida, Lydia, Elena, Felicita and Belia; and seven brothers: Reynaldo, Rene, Ruben, Raul, Salvador, Rodolfo and Bobby Dale. Joaquin also leaves 14 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren to cherish his memory.

Joaquin was preceded in death by his father, Salvador, his mother, Adelaida, sisters, Dora Angelica and Rebecca, and son Pedro "Pete" Salinas.

A visitation for Joaquin will be held Monday, July 17, 2023, from 2:00 PM to 9:00 PM and a prayer service at 7:00 PM at Funeraria Del Angel, Mission, Texas A chapel service will occur Tuesday, July 18, 2023, at 9:30 AM followed by a burial at 11:00 AM at Rio Grande Valley State Veterans Cemetery, 2520 Inspiration Rd., Mission, Texas.
