Born on July 2, 1959, to Victor Silva and Hermilla Rodriguez, Maria grew up in a large, close-knit family that shaped her generous spirit and enduring resilience. She shared a beautiful and enduring marriage of 49 years with her beloved husband, Raul Garcia—a partnership marked by deep love and unwavering devotion.
Maria was the proud and loving mother of three children: Suhayl Pecina (Mario), Luisana Garcia, and Maria Hoyuela. Her legacy continues through her adored grandchildren: Mario Raul Pecina, Ray R. Pecina, Jaqueline Garcia, Sophia Hoyuela, Isabella Barajas, and Erik Hoyuela, all of whom brought great joy to her life.
She is also survived by her siblings: Jesus Silva, Reyes Silva, Adela Gonzalez, Norma Montemayor, Gerado Silva, Eduardo Silva, Sonia Rodriguez, Irma Bonilla, Dalia Morales, and Mirna Silva. She was preceded in death by her brother Roel Silva, and her daughter Luisana Garcia.
Maria’s warmth, faith, and quiet strength touched all who knew her. Her home was a haven of love, laughter, and delicious meals—a place where family and friends always felt welcome. She will be remembered for her enduring faith, her generous heart, and the love she gave so freely.
