It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Maria Irma Johnson, who left us on April 11, 2026 at the age of 77. She was a beloved Wife, devoted Teacher, much loved Sister and Aunt and her presence will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
Born on December 30, 1948 in McAllen TX, Maria Irma Johnson was the child of Pablo Gonzalez and Petra Gonzalez Sanchez.
Throughout her life, Mary or Irma was known for being a dedicated Teacher, devoted Wife, and a loving Sister and Aunt to many nieces and nephews. She devoted her time and energy to taking care of her Mother and younger sisters, Husband, and her Students when she was teaching.
She is survived with deep sorrow by her husband of 43 years, Ray E.
Johnson, brothers Jesus and Juan Gonzalez, sisters Blanca, Irene, Anna, Rosie, her nieces and nephews, Jeffery, Carlos, Patricia, Jesus, Lisa, lucy, Sandra, Susanne, Angie, Jonathan, Joseph, Joshua and many more family, neighbors, and friends.
Maria Irma Johnson was preceded in death by her parents Pablo and Petra Gonzalez, brothers Jesus and Juan Gonzalez.
The family deeply appreciates the outpouring of love, prayers, and support during this difficult time. Maria Irma Johnson's legacy will live on in the hearts of all who knew her.
