

Robert Leslie Robeson, better known as “Les”, was son to the late Alvin L. Robeson and Lucille M. Leslie Robeson. He is survived by his only brother, Thomas A. Robeson and his wife Gayla from Tucson, Arizona. Niece -Kathy Reilly of Phoenix, Arizona and her children, Thomas, Brian and Michael. Niece-Nancy Robeson of New Orleans, Louisiana and nephew -Tom Jr. of Minneapolis, Minnesota.
Les started his career after graduating from St. Mary’s College, in the small loan business, where he quickly became manager and managed the offices in McAllen, and Brownsville. Later, Les was transferred to manage the offices in San Juan, Puerto Rico where he resided there for 5 years. Due to health reasons, Les left the small loan business, and returned to the Valley, thus going to work for Valley Federal Savings and Loan, and later, the International Bank of Commerce. After investing in real estate while he was a young man, Les finally chose to pursue the real estate and apartment rental management business full time. He enjoyed being a landlord very much and knew every tenant by their first name, as he was well known and liked by all who rented from him. Les, who was a faithful Catholic, was Very devoted to Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church. His favorite hobby was travel, and he especially loved the United States, South America, Europe and Qatar. Les lived a good life and will be truly missed by many.
Visitation will be held on Monday, July 19, 2021 from 5:00 pm – 9:00 pm at Funeraria Del Angel, with the Rosary at 7:00 pm.
The Funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday, July 20, 2021 at 10:00 am at Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church, 1108 W Hackberry Ave, McAllen, TX 78501, the burial to follow at 11:15 am at Valley Memorial Gardens.
