She is preceded in death by her parents Teodoro and Eugenia Ontiveros; her daughter Paula Zuniga and her son Maximiliano Cervantes.
Simona is survived by her children, Luis (Mary Lou) Cervantes, Andres Cervantes, Ofelia Palomo, Juan Palomo, Gloria Mendez, Felix (Rosa Barnes) Palomo, Jose Pedro (Evelyn) Palomo, Sara Elena (Juan Longoria) Palomo, Fortunato (Linda) Palomo and Simona Peña. She is also survived by 43 grandchildren, 69 great-grandchildren and by 3 great-great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, September 14, 2016 at Funeraria Del Angel in Mission from 4:00 pm to 9:00 pm with a rosary at 7:00 pm. Funeral mass will be held on Thursday, September 15, 2016 at 10:00 am at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church in Mission. Interment will follow at Valley Memorial Gardens Cemetery. Services are under the direction of Funeraria Del Angel of Mission.
