

McALLEN — Zaragoza G. Peralez, 71, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, February 16, 2014 at Rio Grande Regional Hospital in McAllen after fighting a long & courageous battle with an ongoing illness. He was born on January 26, 1943 to Victoriano Peralez and Maria Mercedes Garcia. He is preceded in death by his parents, Victoriano Peralez and Maria Mercedes Peralez; his daughter, Yolanda P. Martinez and his brother Juan Peralez. He is survived by his loving wife of 44 years, Anita C. Peralez; his children, Brenda Peralez (Jose Flores), Sara (Angel) Dominguez, Jose Luis (Rachel) Sanchez, Eduardo (Michelle) Peralez, Viola (Javier) Rodriguez, Zaragoza Peralez, Jr., Mariana Mercedes Lopez, Briana Martinez, Victoria Martinez, Antonio Martinez, Jr. He is also survived by his 17 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren; siblings, Victoriano Peralez, Jr., Dalia Orozco, Gilberto Peralez, Noe Peralez, Norma Linda Peralez, Antonia Peralez, Juana Cabriales and numerous nieces and nephews all whom were loved dearly. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and brother who will be dearly missed. Family will receive friends today, February 19, 2014 from 5-9 p.m. with a rosary at 7 p.m. at Funeraria Del Angel in Mission. Funeral service will be Thursday, February 20, 2014 at 2 p.m. at St. Joseph the Worker Church in McAllen. Interment will follow to Valley Memorial Gardens in Mission. Having the distinguished honor of serving as pallbearers are: Martin Saiz, Richard Guerra, Frank Peralez, Lorenzo Ochoa, Jr., Joe Castillo, Emerson Lira, Esteban Ortiz and Andrew Diaz. The family wishes to thank Dr. Linda Villarreal and Staff at Memorial Medical Clinic in Edinburg for their caring and compassionate care. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the care of Funeraria Del Angel in Mission, a dignity memorial provider.
