Surrounded by her loving family, Belem Estrada Robles, 90 of Mission Viejo, California, peacefully went to be with the Lord on November 18, 2022. Belem was born on January 26, 1932, in Durango, Mexico. Belem fell in love with Andres Vasquez Robles, her brother Wlfrano’s best friend. Belem and Andres married in Durango, Mexico and then migrated to the United States in 1955 where they raised four children in Southern California. Belem was a smart businesswoman and a born leader. Her success rewarded her with many experiences, including trip awards to foreign countries and being asked by the Colgate Corporation to lead their efforts to introduce self-employment opportunities to women in Mexico. She donated many hours to teach citizenship to Spanish speakers. Belem passed down to her kids a great love and appreciation for her Mexican culture and she very proudly exercised her right as a US Citizen to vote and make her voice count. Belem led fellow parishioners at the St. Louis of France Church through many months of fundraising to secure a Nuestra Señora de Guadalupe statue for their church and throughout her life, remained very involved in prayer groups and her parishes. Above all things, Belem most deeply loved the Lord God. In her words and actions, she set a strong example with her faith in our Lord. She taught her children to praise the Lord and live a life of faith, she mentored her friends, and even counseled total strangers. Belem was preceded in death by her father, mother, two brothers, and four sisters; her infant son Andres Jr., her toddler daughter Guillita and their father, her husband Andres; and her second husband Amador. She is survived by her sister, Maria de Jesus Guerrero; and her kids: Blanca Robles, Jerry (and Susan) Robles, Adriana (and Ralph) Ruiz, Patty (and Steve) Moreno and by her six grandchildren: Ryan and Gabrielle Robles; Max, Sofia and Lucia Moreno; and Juliette Ruiz, who loved their "Grammie”, “Abuelita,” and “Aita" dearly.
