On November 4, 2019 after a long battle with dementia and cancer, Charles Freyre peacefully passed away.
Charles was born in New York, New York, in the neighborhood of Harlem. There he met and married his beautiful wife of 54 years Cecilia Freyre. Together they left New York and migrated to California where Charles graduated from bible school in 1964. With his bible college knowledge and a passion for Christ he dedicated the next 50 years of his life to missionary work in the Baja peninsula. There, he and Cecilia founded one of the largest orphanage and medical clinics in Baja, giving back to the people and in turn leading them to the Christian faith.
Charles Freyre is survived by his children, grandchildren and great children. His memorial service will be held on November 22, 2019 at Fairhaven Memorial Services in Mission Viejo, CA.
