Erwin Torio, cherished husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend, passed away leaving behind a legacy of love, strength, and unwavering kindness. He was born on June 30, 1958, in the Philippines to Pacita and Manuel Torio, who nurtured in him the values of compassion, humility, and dedication that he carried throughout his life.
Erwin grew up in a close and lively family, sharing his childhood with his siblings Dr. Henedina Gatan, Arlene Gieseke, Roderick Torio, and Carol Torio. The bond they shared rooted in loyalty, humor, and steadfast support remained strong throughout his life.
In 1980, Erwin married the love of his life, Lu. Together they built a home filled with warmth and devotion, and were blessed with two children, Ross and Pam, who were the pride and joy of Erwin’s life. His family continued to grow with the arrival of his two loving grandsons, Luke and Nate, who brought him great happiness. “Grandpa" cherished every moment spent with them, and his presence and playful spirit will forever remain a part of their lives.
Those who knew Erwin will remember him for his spirit, his steady humor, and his remarkable ability to bring laughter and kindness to those around him. He approached life with resilience and a generous heart, always putting the needs of others first. Whether through a kind word, a helping hand with his plumbing skills, or simply being there when he was needed most, Erwin made a lasting impact on everyone fortunate enough to know him.
He will be dearly missed by his family, friends, and all whose lives he touched. Though he is no longer with us in body, his love endures in the memories shared, the lessons he taught, and the countless moments of kindness that defined who he was.
May he rest in peace, and may his memory continue to be a blessing to all who loved
