Dave was born in Aguadilla, Puerto Rico and grew up in Chicago, Illinois. He graduated from Wells High School and Attended the University of Illinois. Dave then joined the United States Navy where he was stationed in San Diego, California. He served in Vietnam on the USS Hoel. After his Honorable Discharge from the United States Navy, Dave Remained in California for the rest of his life. He ultimately met is wife, Victoria (Vicki) and they shared 37 wonderful years in a loving and romantic marriage.
