Judy will most certainly be missed SO much by the Berberian clan.  Her welcoming disposition, bright smile and overall amazing spirit always made everyone around her feel so special. We will always be so grateful to her for making Christina feel so welcomed in our "big family".  Family gatherings won't be the same without her. We feel comforted by the fact she is surrounded by loved ones up in Heaven...and I'm sure she's making them all laugh as we speak! We love you Judy and you will always live on in our hearts.

Judy was a witty, kind, warm neighbor who lived across the street from us for the past five years. I wish I could have told her that she IN NO WAY looked 71!! Well, there: I've said it. We have been saddened and in a state of shock since Judy's passing.

Now, as others have stated, Rick is gone. I am semi-retired and work from home, so I saw Rick and their dog Toby several times a day. Rick always had a smile and a wave for me. He was the first person I met in our condo complex. Sometimes a gruff exterior, but it was hard to hide that he was a softy inside. His tragic passing has left the neighborhood reeling. 

What will remain, however, after the sadness dissipates, are memories of kind neighbors. If only they had lived here another 20 years!

I met Judy and Janet at Rock Hills Church some 15 years ago. I'll always remember Judy's sense of humor and both sisters decorating for special events for church.  The original party gals.  I remember recently Judy and I meeting at RSM's swimming beach covered patio because she "wanted to save money" so we'll brown bag it. I took her at her word, made a sandwich, etc. she showed up with a fancy bag or box. When I asked about this she said she needed a o go to Starbucks anyway, so she bought a fancy lunch?!?  So funny. Although we were very close first cousins, I always thought of you as a kid sister.  Our wonderful parents raised us to be together. Like so many others, my heart is broken. I will miss

I've been remembering another memory, among so many others, when Judy volunteered to watch our sweet little granddaughter Natalie during my niece's wedding. Natalie was only about three months old  and Judy was so excited to watch her in another room at the church.  Let's just say Natalie wasn't a happy camper and missed her mama during that hour or so, making it a challenge for poor Judy.  Julie felt terrible that she gave Judy so much grief. But I was always thankful that she was willing to help us out so that our whole family could enjoy the wedding. 
Jude, your laughter and snarky comments will be so missed.

I met Judy in 1990 when we worked together at Marian Bergeson Elementary School. We became friends right away. I will miss Judy very much. When we would get together we have lots of fun. Your love of Children is what sticks in my mind about you the most. Your excitement to see my nieces and nephew was always so much fun to watch over the years, as well as all of your young cousins. When we had children of our own, you burst with so much love for them, and that is what breaks my heart the most. I am sad you will miss holidays with them and Grace's performances through out the years and seeing Malcolm's first steps.  Although I know you will be watching from above for sure, it would have been so much better to have you there in person. I think anyone who knows you, can say you made them feel as though you were their biggest fan. Your enthusiasm for life and the people you loved was what made you so very special. Nothing got past you. I loved our banter and will miss it terribly. You loved to tell me stories about Randy, Jeanne, Gary, Steven, and Janet, because you were proud of your family and loved them so dearly. Like I have said before on social media, you always made me feel a part of this family from day one, you were so supportive of Jeanne and I and I will miss that so very much. From the moment I met her at an Easter dinner in 2005 she was amazingly warm and welcoming and it felt like she been part of my family forever. Judy was one special lady! She was so funny and made my days at Truman Benedict fun. We shared so many laughs together. One time I even got to perform a Marilyn happy birthday song. Oh how we laughed! That's just one memory that a put a smile on both our faces. I will always remember her smile!

Judy, Judith, Jude, funniest person I've known in my life.  These past days feel like a dream because this all feels very surreal. I still have the books  you loaned me and I never got to return them or talk to you about how much I loved them. I will make sure Janet gets them.  I know you and I camp on different sides with our opinions, but I love that we could still be friends despite our differences.  Remember all the times at Benedict when you questioned me about my faith? I love that you were willing to ask and then eventually coming to share time at Rock Hills Church together, along with Janet too.  So many funny moments with you keep popping into my head. Just yesterday, I looked at Susan, picked up my pen, and pretended to be smoking it. You used to do that all the time!  A favorite quote from you was, "If only there were no kids here, this would be a perfect place to work!"  We both got a chuckle remembering your crazy ways. I know your family is already missing you, as well as all of us, your friends. My prayers are for those who are left behind in the wake of this sudden change of events. Hearts are hurting all over the place because you, dear lady, made a difference in this world.  You will be greatly missed, Jude, and I count myself as thankful for having known you. I don't think I have ever seen such a response!  Judy will be missed by so many.
The last time I saw Judy was at Mike Basowski's wedding reception and that was about 10 years ago!  We picked up on the stories and lots of laughter as if we'd seen each other the day before. Judy was to me like the big sister you wished you could emulate.  Always cool, put together, funny and popular when I felt like a little geek by comparison.  I was babbling about the Beatles and she was dating, marrying and having a baby.  In the last few years, I have felt such a strong urge to get in on some of the fun she and Janet have.  We got a lunch together a year ago, and I had hoped for many more.  So easy to laugh with Judy as she was so quick-witted and sarcastic in the funniest ways.  She laughed at herself so easily too.  She took such a genuine interest in everyone, and I am grateful for the moments we had together, few though they were.  We shared a love of Susan Branch and our politics were the same, but it was her spirit and exuberance for life that were always so attractive.  I am sorry I won't get to enjoy more of that exuberance.  It's hard to imagine how immense her loss will be to those who held her dearest--her children, husband and the entire Torres family.  My condolences to you all.

AJ, I don't really want to accept this. We weren't ready for you to go, but God had other plans. Thank you for everything you did for us. A little birdie told me you are fine and will be watching over us. I'll take comfort in that.

Wish we could physically be with you to share in Judy's memorial service.  Although  I met Judy only once many years ago, as blood relatives we remain bonded forever regardless of the distance that separates us.   So, again our heartfelt condolences to our west coast relatives as we send you our love and God's peace and comfort as you honor the life of Judy.  Cousins Valerie and Diran Simonian.

Janet, Rick, Steven and Gary - I cannot imagine the pain you are in.  I know how much I miss Judy's funny/sweet posts already.  My heart reaches out to you across the miles.  You are in my thoughts and prayers.
