Norman Lloyd Cohen, 78 of Laguna Woods, California passed away August 25, 2018. Born on December 22, 1939 to parents Morris & Frieda Cohen in Brooklyn, New York. He has two siblings, his twin brother Sanford & brother Carl.
Norman’s entire schooling years were at Lincoln and PS100 in Brighton Beach, Brooklyn and after graduating he enlisted into the Army. Once he had served his country his next adventure saw him as a multiple storeowner of pre-teen clothing within the clothing industry.
His son Adam was his pride and joy. He was born in New York, New York in 1971 and by 1975 they had travelled across the country to change their home base to Los Angeles, California. He met Patti in 1982 & within 14 months of their meeting, he devoted his life and asked for her hand in marriage. They have been inseparable ever since. The new duo worked together starting their own business, Patio Masters, that same year. They have been going strong, working as partners in work and in life for the past 36 years!
Over those years their beautiful family grew including Patti’s children Tamara (dec’d) & Terry joining Adam, grandchildren Seth, Tawny, Trevor, Spencer & Charlotte and great grandchildren Luciana, Wyatt & Raegan.
As Norm continued to work as retirement was not on his list of "to do's", he & Patti travelled as much as possible. In 2009 Norm marked a very memorable trip to New York with his son Adam and grandson Spencer. Paramount in Norm’s life as he knew it was his family, business & his employees. He worked hard, was well respected in many circles & will be dearly missed.
