Dr. Peter H. Fishman passed away on November 21, 2024 at the age of 84 at Kaiser Permanente Irvine Hospital from renal failure due to a recent bout of infection and after a long-time fight against Parkinson's Disease. He was surrounded by his wife Gloria, brother-in-law, sisters-in-law, and caregivers. Peter was born in Boston in 1939 to parents Martin and Lillian Fishman. A graduate of MIT and George Washington University, Peter devoted his professional life to science and made remarkable contributions to the field of biochemistry at the National Institutes of Health from 1967 to 2008. He will be missed more than words can express as a loving and beloved husband, brother-in-law, uncle, great uncle and a highly respected scientist.
A graveside service for Peter will be held Monday, December 2, 2024 from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM at Pacific View Mortuary & Memorial Park, 3500 Pacific View Dr, Newport Beach, CA 92625.
