

Dick and his family moved from Ohio to California in 1948 and settled in Pomona, then later to Fontana. Dick graduated from Chaffey High School in Fontana, then Chaffey Jr. College in Ontario, and then completed his Bachelor of Science Degree in Engineering in 1957 from UCLA! His first job as an Electrical Engineer was working at Motorola Corporation in Riverside, Douglas Aircraft, Xerox Corporation for 25 years, until retiring from ST Microelectronics at age 69. As a bachelor, he enjoyed playing beach volleyball, skiing, and bowling with his friends. He then married his beautiful wife, Paula, in 1969 while living in Marina Del Rey. They raised their 2 kids in their Rancho Palos Verdes home for over 25 years!
Dick lived a full life of playing lots of golf, even had a hole in one! He traveled with Paula to Europe, South America, China, Russia, the United States, and loved visiting their Palm Springs condo. Family was everything to Dick and he put them at the forefront attending his kids and grandkids soccer, baseball, softball, and basketball games. He loved to attend and watch College basketball, especially UCLA.
He is survived by his wife, Paula (Betty) of 50 years, his brother Ray Saez, sister Linda Dillon, daughter Julie Eklund, son-in-law Matt Eklund, son Scott Saez, daughter-in-law Cecilia Saez, sister-in-law Pam Hanson, his two grandchildren, Leanna and Skyler Eklund, 3 nieces and 2 nephews.
