

He is survived by his immediate family: Kay, his wife of 37 years; his brother Donn Serafini (Sue); five children: Mark Serafini, Anne-Marie Serafini Ellstrom, Christopher Serafini, Jeffrey Serafini and Corree Serafini Boles; eight grandchildren: Alyssa Spinello, Kylee and Lukas Ellstrom, Giuliana and Olivia Serafini, Keegan and Logan Boles and Emma Serafini. Other immediate family includes sons-in-law Nathan Ellstrom and Christopher Boles and daughters-in-law Kimberly and Nicole Serafini. Robert is preceded in death by his parents Anthony & Clara Louise (nee Kelly) and infant son Michael.
He is also survived by extended family and many friends.
Robert was a veteran of the U.S. Navy, attended Naval Officer Candidate School in Georgia and served during the Vietnam War as a supply officer where he developed his love for cooking and entertaining.
Born on August 25, 1942 in St. Mary’s, Pennsylvania to Anthony & Clara, Robert graduated from Brookville High School in Brookville, Pennsylvania. He is a graduate of St. Bonaventure University in Allegany, New York where he received a bachelor’s degree in finance.
He worked for many years in large system computer sales and management for companies such as Honeywell Bull, Ultimate, Prime and Strategy 7.
An avid sports fan, he coached youth soccer and was active with the Viejo Little League both as a coach and umpire.
He also was involved in the YMCA Indian Guides and Indian Princesses with his children.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, March 16 at the Presbyterian Church of the Master, 26051 Marguerite Parkway, Mission Viejo, followed by a reception at the Canyon Crest Clubhouse, 22300 Canyon Crest Dr., Mission Viejo.
