Brooke Shavonne Thomas, 24, of Houston, Texas, was born in Houston on May 23, 2001, to Bradford Joseph Thomas and Shannon Terez Jelks, and passed away on March 25, 2026. Brooke will be remembered for a smile you would always remember, and for the generous, kind-hearted, humorous, patient, thoughtful, hard-working, compassionate, brave, and confident way she carried herself and cared for others.
Brooke graduated from Glenda Dawson High School in 2019, where she was apart of the school choir. She continued pursuing her goals by taking classes to pursue Mortuary School, with the dream of eventually owning her own funeral home—an aspiration that reflected both her compassion and her steady determination.
In her everyday life, Brooke enjoyed singing and having fun, bringing warmth and lightness to the moments she shared with family and friends.
Brooke leaves to cherish her memory, her mother, Shannon; her father, Bradford (Stacy); her sister, Brandi RJ Thomas; her nephew, DeAnthony R. Byrd; her niece, Demiah G. Byrd; and her grandparents, Silton Thomas Sr. & Ethel Thomas and Delores Earl.
