Born on August 12, 1994, to Patrice Hatten and the late Raymond Hatten Sr., Raymond was known for his generous heart, quick wit, and steadfast love for his family. His presence lit up every room, and his kindness left a lasting impression on all who knew him.
Raymond now rests in peace, reunited with his beloved father, Raymond Hatten Sr., and his cherished grandparents, Betty Cornin, Morris Bachemin, and Willie Pruitt. Though his absence leaves a deep void, his memory will live on through the love he gave and the lives he touched.
He leaves behind his devoted mother, Patrice Hatten, and his loving sisters, Riana Hatten and Kaci Ruffin, along with his dear grandmother, Theis Bachemin, and grandfather, Bishop Espy Cornin who will forever carry his spirit in their hearts. He is also lovingly remembered by his aunts and uncles: Danise Pruitt, Everette and Dana Edwards, Tyra and Debra Pruitt, and Cavin and Briana Williams, as well as his cherished little cousins: Shantell, Kendra, Robert, Christian, Logan, Cavin Jr., and Xander.
Raymond was the typical "around-the-way" guy who loved to write and recite his lyrics to anyone who would listen. He was a true hidden gem whose humor and energy brought joy to everyone around him. He found happiness in making others smile and was known for his easy going nature. A graduate of Elkins High School, Raymond went on to study Business Management Techniques at Houston Community College. He was always on the move, staying busy through his most recent jobs at Burger King, Amazon, and Discount Tire.
Raymond’s life was a testament to the grace and love of God, who promises eternal peace and comfort to those who trust in Him. As it is written in Psalm 34:18, “The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit.” We take solace knowing that Raymond is now resting in God’s loving embrace, free from pain and sorrow.
Though gone too soon, Raymond Jr.’s legacy of love and warmth will remain with us always.
