Alice Faye Warren

Faye is survived by her loving faithful husband of 61 years, James (Jim) Warren who was the love of her life and tenderly cared for her until her passing. They wed June 22, 1955 in Aiken, South Carolina & were blessed with four children Charlie (Sharon) Warren, Hal (Kathy) Warren, David Warren (deceased), Marcile (Mark) Warren Sims and nine grandchildren, Jonathan Warren, David Warren, Austin Sims, Kelly Warren (deceased), Colton Sims, Christabel Warren Snyder, Seth Warren, Joseph Warren & Marci Sims. As well as her best friend of 74 years, Anne Johnson. Preceded in death by parents; "Doc" & Lucille Rackley, brothers; Benton (Boots) & Carl Rackley and son David Warren.

Faye was 1955 valedictorian of Aiken High School and crowned, "Queen Regent with Scepter," with the GA's at First Baptist Church of Aiken. She also attended Baptist Bible institute in Graceville, FL with Jim. Faye served as a faithful servant of the Lord as a pastor's wife and enjoyed a career that spanned 30 plus years as church secretary to pastors Rev. Bob Barker, "Coffee with the Parson," Dr. Dale Younce & many others at Chickasaw First Baptist, Myers Memorial Baptist, Moffett Road Baptist, Lafitte Baptist, Airport Blvd. Baptist & Orchard Baptist. She passionately taught english as a second language (ESL).

The family will receive friends Saturday, August 27, 2016, from 12:00 pm - 2:00 pm with a home-going celebration to follow at Manor Baptist Church, 1604 Navco Rd., Mobile, AL; Internment, Pine Crest Funeral Home & Cemeteries, 1939 Dauphin Island Pkwy, Mobile, AL 36605.
