Anne Mirabella O’Brien, age 72, finished her battle with ALS and became whole again on July 28, 2024. She was preceded in death by her parents, Salvatore and Pamalina Mirabella, sisters Santa Marie DeCastro Penn and Rose Marie Gabor, and brother Michael Salvatore Mirabella.
She is survived by her husband of almost 50 years Jerome L. O’Brien, Sr. (Jerry), her son Jerome L. O’Brien, Jr. (Jay) and wife Rachel, her daughter Barclay O’Brien Harle and husband Chris, her daughter Mary Allison O’Brien, and grandchildren Hayden Harle, Harrison Harle, Mirabella O’Brien, and Declan O’Brien all of Mobile, AL. She is also survived by her brother Charlie Mirabella of Denver, CO. She leaves behind numerous nieces and nephews and other extended family as well.
Everyone who knew Anne loved her. She had a big heart and giving nature. She was a devoted wife, loving mother and the best Mimi a grandchild could ever ask for. She will be sorely missed by her family and friends.
The family would also like to extend a special thank you to all the caregivers who were so kind and caring while assisting in Anne’s care over the past year.
Services celebrating the life of Anne will take place Friday August 2nd at St. Ignatius Church on Springhill Ave. in Mobile, AL. Visitation will start at 9:30 with a funeral mass beginning at 11:00.
