Antonio Pompeo Finizola

Antonio Pompeo Finizola, passed away Sunday, October 27, 2013. Antonio was born in Vibonati, Italy in the province of Salerno to the late Vincenzo and Giovanna D'Acerno Finizola. Antonio was a successful businessman who owned his own heating and air company. He had a knack for woodworking, gardening and cooking and also was a trained opera tenor. Antonio also loved to travel with his wife of 48 wonderful years, Frederica Gabriella Wulff Finizola. He was preceded in death by his sister, Catarina Finizola; brother, Pasquale Finizola; brother's in law, Aldo Bologna and Geppino Crescenzo. He is survived by his wife, Frederica Gabriella Wulff Finizola; son, Vincenzo "Enzo" G. Finizola (Susan); daughter, Margherita G. Warhurst (Brandon); granddaughters, Gabriela Antonietta Warhurst and Margherita "Gretel" Annamaria Warhurst; two sisters, Anna Maria Bologna, Gerardina Crescenzo; brother, Pompeo Finizola (Anna); sister-in-law, Giuseppina Finizola as well as many other family and friends. Memorial visitation will be held Thursday, October 31, 2013 in the Sarto Center located at St. Pius X Catholic Church from 11:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. A Memorial Mass will be celebrated in Antonio's honor at 12:00 p.m. at St. Pius X Catholic Church, 217 South Sage Avenue, Mobile, AL. Interment of ashes will take place in the family shrine in Vibonati, Italy at a later date.
