Mr. Arthur James Mitchell of Jackson, AL, age 77 passed away on Tuesday, February 2, 2016 at a local hospital. He is survived by his wife, Vera Foreman Mitchell, mother, Jane Gadsdon Jackson Mitchell and son Michael Anthony Lockhart. He is also survived by his brothers, Billy, Albert, Ray, Willie James, Roland and Woody Thomas Mitchell, sisters, Alishane Simon, Mary Jane Webb, Patricial Tinsley, five other children, thirty grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren. Visitation will be held at Radney Funeral Home, Dauphin Street, Sunday, February 7, 2016 from 10:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. Graveside services will be held at Hillcrest Cemetery, Chatom, Al at 2:00 p.m.
