Barbara Nell Spivey

Barbara Nell Spivey, age 86 and longtime resident of Mobile, AL, passed away at her home on Wednesday, July 8, 2020. She is preceded in death by her parents, Elmond and Eloisa McCarty; brothers, Ray McCoy McCarty, Bennie Lee McCarty, Joseph Dale McCarty, Billy Joe McCarty, and Elmond McCarty, Jr.; sister, Lola Agnes Estell; and grandson, Jessie Gerald Snowden.

Barbara retired from USA Medical Center after working over 40 years in the Mobile area as an LPN. She will be remembered by family and friends for her generous and loving nature. She was dedicated to her family and those she cared for over the years.

Mrs. Spivey is survived by her children, Barbara Ann Wheatley, Deborah Juadine Roberts, Mildred Darlene Spivey and Sandra Lynn McCarty. She is also survived by her siblings, Martha Delores Aldridge, Bobbie Jean Payne and Gay Eloise Coley; grandchildren, Bobby Lee, Brian Keith and Bradley Dale Wheatley, Troy Warren Dupuis, Brandi Christine Lambert, Phillip Drew Roberts (Jenni), Jennifer Roberts McPhaul (Bryan); and great-grandchildren, Ashlee Lambert, Lily Dupuis, Carson McPhaul and Tristan Bailey.

Visitation will be held at Radney Funeral Home on Friday, July 10, 2020 from 9:30 a.m. until 10:30 a.m. Graveside services will be held at Spring Hill Memorial Gardens, 600 Pierce Rd., Mobile, AL at 11:00 a.m.
