Betty L. Banks Huschka – age 90, a longtime resident of Mobile, Alabama, died Thursday, September 15, 2022, at a local nursing home. She was preceded in death by her late husband of 49 years, Dale C. Huschka, and parents, George Neal Banks and Catherine Hanley Banks of Mobile. She is survived by her sister, Catherine Banks of Mobile, cousins and other relatives.
Mrs. Huschka was a member of St. Pius X Catholic Church in Mobile. She graduated from Murphy High School, received a Master’s Degree from Dominican College in New Orleans, and, together with her husband, enjoyed pursuing their mutual interests in art and music in Mobile. Mrs. Huschka was employed at Regions Bank for many years before retirement.
Interment was held in Pine Crest Cemetery on Tuesday, September 20, 2022. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Mrs. Huschka may be made to St. Pius X Catholic Church, the University of South Alabama Women’s and Children’s Hospital, or a favorite charity.
