

Betty Nell Pace - a native of New Orleans, LA and a resident of Mobile, AL for the past 83 years, died Wednesday, November 23, 2011 in a local hospital. Mrs. Pace was a graduate of Murphy High School, attended Huntingdon College and graduated from Louisiana State University. She was a member of St. Mark United Methodist Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, John William Pace, III; one son, Bradley Mixon Pace; and parents, Dr. Porter and Sylvia Nell Mixon.
She is survived by her children, Porter Sue (Rhett) Simpson, Cindy Petroutson, and John W. (Laura) Pace, IV; her sister-in-law, Marie Pace Yohn; her grandchildren, Brennan Simpson (Jonathan) Barrineau, Cameron Simpson (Ian) Ankersen, Katelyn Pace Simpson, Ashley Petroutson, Pace Petroutson, Elise Pace, Emily Pace, and John Pace; and her great-granddaughter, Anna Mason Barrineau; nieces, nephew and other relatives.
Mrs. Pace's family wishes to offer a special thank you to her faithful caregiver, Mary Ann Crum, Dr. Martin Lester, Infirmary Hospice and the fourth floor staff of Mobile Infirmary for their loving care.
The family will receive friends from 5 P.M. until 7 P.M. on Sunday, November 27, 2011 and from 11 A.M. until the 12 Noon on Monday, November 28, 2011 at Radney Funeral Home, Dauphin Street.
Funeral services will be held at 12 Noon Monday from the chapel of Radney Funeral Home, Dauphin Street. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Mark United Methodist Church, The Salvation Army, or your favorite charity. Interment will be in Mobile Memorial Gardens.
