Betty Pridgen Taylor, 78 passed away Friday, October 18, 2019 after losing a courageous battle with Leukemia. Betty was born on April 1, 1941 where she attended and graduated from Semmes High School. Betty received her BS Degree in Nursing from the University of South Alabama and worked as a RN before moving to the Dental Profession until her retirement.
Her parents: Leonard and Clara O’dell Pridgen and one brother, Truman Pridgen preceded Betty in death.
She is survived by her devoted spouse, Howard Taylor, two sons: Michael Chapman and wife Cindy, Daniel Chapman and wife Whitney, four grandchildren: Curry Chapman and wife Kate, Maxwell Chapman and wife Shauna, Rachel Adair and husband Joey, Kelsey Cooper, four great grandchildren, one brother, Doug Pridgen and wife Carol, one sister, Jo Ann Watson, along with nieces, nephews, many extended family members and a host of friends that she loved very much.
The family would like to express gratitude to the nurses and staff at Springhill Home Health and Hospice for their dedicated help and a special thanks to Dr. Beeker and the caring medical team at the Infirmary Cancer Care.
A memorial service will be held at Pine Crest Funeral Home on Friday, October 25, 2019 at 2:00 PM with Chaplain Bob Howard officiating.
