

Betty was born October 6, 1932, in Oklahoma City, OK, to Eugene and Otha Freeze. She was a 1950 graduate of Capitol Hill High School in Oklahoma City and received her bachelor’s degree in music with a minor in piano from Oklahoma City University. Betty moved to Mobile, AL in 1969 and called it home for many years. Betty loved music and was a dedicated private music instructor for many years, being honored and recognized by many professional organizations, such as the Sigma Alpha Iota music fraternity, the National Guild of Piano Teachers, the National Music Teachers Association, and numerous other Musical professional organizations. She found love twice, the first time being with Boyd Bryce, with them marrying on August 6, 1948, until his passing. The second being with Mr. Curtis Tubb, with them marrying in 1969, until his passing. She set a tremendous example of love and strength of character and was a source of inspiration to all who knew her.
Betty is survived by her three daughters; Donna Lacquement (Emil), Di-Ann Neff (Ray), and Tara Foster (Derek), nine grandchildren; Gheia Jenkins, Melissa Lacquement, Brian Jenkins (Megan), Shelley Robison, Blanche Cave (Aaron), Harrison Foster, Curtis O’Conner Foster, Grant Foster, six great-grandchildren, eleven great-great grandchildren, and many other family and friends that will miss her deeply.
Betty was preceded in death by her parents, Eugene and Otha Freeze, her two spouses; Boyd Bryce and Curtis Tubb, granddaughter; Emily Greff, brother; Bill Freeze, and two sisters; Barbara Freeze and Dorothy Freeze.
A visitation for Betty will be held on Tuesday, July 22, 2025, from 5-7 pm at Radney Funeral Home in Mobile. A second visitation will be held on Wednesday, July 23, 2025, from 11 am to 12 pm funeral hour at Regency Church of Christ in Mobile. Burial will take place at a later date at Resthaven Cemetery in Oklahoma City, OK.
