

Bob W. Copley – a 90 year-old native of Beauty, KY, longtime resident of Wayne County, WV, and current resident of Mobile, AL passed away Wednesday, May 22, 2013. Mr. Copley owned and operated Copley’s Market in Wayne County for over 45 years. He was a man of deep faith and a lifelong member of the Baptist Church. Mr. Copley served in the Pacific Rim during World War II as a member of the United States Navy and was recently a member of the 9th Honor Flight, a program which honors World War II veterans by transporting them to Washington D.C. to view the World War II memorial. Mr. Copley is survived by his wife of 65 years, Ruth E. Copley; children, Fred W. Copley (Brenda) Huntington, WV and Jill Copley Neubauer (Fred) of Mobile, AL; grandchildren, Paul Michael Thompson, Jaime Renee Campbell, Alison Copley Neubauer and David Frederick Neubauer; and great-grandchildren, Jacob, Joshua, Jared, and Emma Campbell. Graveside services with military honors will be held in the Alabama State Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Spanish Fort, AL on Tuesday, May 28, 2013, at 1 p.m. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial donations be made to the Huntington City Mission, 624 10th St., Huntington, WV 25701.
