Brenda was born on March 9, 1952, in Williamson, West Virginia, to Teresa Scalf and Basil Hester Woods. She was a longtime resident of Mobile, Alabama, where she built a beautiful life with her beloved husband, Ronnie Eubanks. Together, they shared nearly 58 wonderful years of marriage.
Brenda loved Jesus and her family with everything she had. Her spunky attitude and boldness of opinion perfectly describe her. She never hesitated to speak her mind and kept us all on our toes. She found joy in loading the kids down with food or goodies to take home—whether they needed them or not. Brenda cherished her front porch, wind chimes, and the seasonal visits from hummingbirds, always making sure they had fresh nectar to fill their tummies.
She enjoyed dinners out with her “circle” (you know who you are), treasured the many thoughtful cards sent by special friends, and most of all, she loved simply being with her family. Brenda delighted in family cruises that created lasting memories. One of the laughable highlights was the fact that some of the family ended up with terrible sea-sickness… it was a sight to behold for sure!
She especially enjoyed the big meals lovingly prepared by her grandson, Tyler—with Texas Sheet Cake being a particular favorite.
Brenda was preceded in death by her father, Basil Woods; mother, Teresa Scalf; siblings, Kathryn Pope and Raymond Woods; her son, Ricky Eubanks; and several precious babies she now holds in her arms.
She is survived by her loving husband, Ronnie Eubanks; her devoted children, Jennifer (Howard) Hathcock and Ronnie (Brandi) Eubanks; grandchildren, Justin (Baylee) Hathcock, Jerrod Hathcock, Tyler Eubanks, Hunter Hathcock, Hope Hathcock, Haven Hathcock, and Brandon Hathcock. She was also blessed with a great-grandchild, Copeland Hathcock.
Brenda is also survived by her sister, Mavis Dinwiddie, and lovingly remembered by Shasta Mareno, Miguel Gonzalez, Pamela Woods, Teresa George, Kristi Hatcher, Shelby Woods, and Scarlett Messer, who all held special places in her heart. She also leaves behind many cherished aunts, nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends who will continue to carry her memory forward.
She will be sorely missed by all who knew and loved her, but we rejoice knowing she is reunited with loved ones in her eternal home—especially her infant son, Ricky.
Brenda would want you to know that heaven is real, and it’s waiting. John 3:16 and accept Jesus as your Savior. That’s how you join her one day—for the Grand Reunion she so joyfully awaits
A memorial visitation for Brenda will be held Saturday, April 19, 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:30 AM at Radney Funeral Home, 3155 Dauphin Street, Mobile, AL 36606, followed by a memorial service at 11:30 AM.
