Charles David Blankenship

Charles David Blankenship passed away peacefully on January 1, 2019. Charles was born on August 25, 1939 in Sparta, GA. He was preceded in death by his parents Henry Claude Blankenship, Sr. and Lucille Osborne Blankenship. Charles is survived by his daughters Brenda Joy Blankenship and Georgia Blankenship Trembley (Dan); his son, John David Blankenship; his brothers, Mack Ellis Blankenship, George Franklin Blankenship; his sisters, Henrietta Blankenship Lunsford and Brenda Blankenship Wood; his grandchildren; and his loving friend Betty Joiner. Charles was a United Methodist minister and later was employed and retired from the State of Georgia. He will always be remembered for his role as Santa in various large malls during the Christmas seasons. The family is especially grateful for the University Oaks Holiday Retirement Center employees and residents for their friendship and care. A private memorial will be held at a later date.
