Charles Wesley Sharp

Charles (Charlie) Wesley Sharp – Age 93, passed away peacefully at home Thursday, October 24, 2013, surrounded by his loved ones. Charlie was preceded in death by his loving wife, Florence Nell, his parents and three of his brothers. He is survived by his children, John “Sandy” Sharp (Barbara), William “Rusty” Sharp (Molly), Paul Sharp (Renee), Robin Sharp and Suzanne Sharp; grandchildren, Sven Sharp (Jackie), Kristin Byrd (Lee), Jami Howes (Matthew), Josh Harlan (Charlotte), Charlie Sharp, and Wesley Sharp; great-grandchildren, Carson and Ava Byrd, Madison, Kayley and Connor Howes, and Katelyn Harlan; his niece Jeannie Hill; and other family members and friends. Charlie was an active member at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church for over 60 years. He was a member of the Turnerville Volunteer Fire Department, served in the army in World War II and retired as a Mail Carrier in Mobile. The family would like to extend their appreciation for the kind and compassionate care given by Covenant Hospice-Daphne and The Blake of Malbis where he resided before his death. Funeral services will be held from St. Paul’s Lutheran Church on Monday, October 28, 2013 at 10:00 am. Visitation will be Sunday, October 27, 2013 from 5:00-7:00 pm at Radney Funeral Home on Dauphin Street. Interment will be in Pine Crest Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, 6100 Cottage Hill Rd., Mobile AL 36609 or to the Turnerville Volunteer Fire Department, 14740 Celeste Rd., Chunchula, AL 36521
