Charles Charlie Sims

Charles "Charlie" Sims, age 66, a native of Chickasaw, Alabama and resident of Wilmer, Alabama passed away on Saturday, December 18, 2021. He was a cabinet maker by trade and will always be remembered for his wonderful sense of humor.

Mr. Sims was preceded in death by his parents, John E. and Marjorie Place Sims; step-son, Jesse Arnold; nephew, Brian Thomas Sims; niece, Lynn Peacock; and brother-in-law, Johnny Ray Lyles. He is survived by his daughter, Rachel Ledbetter (Kyle); step-children, Bernadette Woods (Darrell), Tammy Arnold, Marie Pardue (Leslie), and Brenda Arnold; grandchildren, Skylar and Ryker Ledbetter; siblings, William M. Sims (Mary Lou), Judith Lyles, and John Sims (Jean); step-brother, Bill Vick (Sharon); step-sister, Linda Erwin; step-grandchildren,nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be held from the chapel of Radney Funeral Home on Dauphin Street on Tuesday, December 21, 2021, at 12 p.m. The family will receive friends from 10 a.m. until the service hour.
