Christine Ann Engwall Stewart Blakeney

Christine Ann Engwall Stewart Blakeney – an 80 year-old lifelong resident of Mobile passed away Sunday, February 24, 2013. She was a retired registered nurse who worked for Diagnostic and Medical Clinic and U.S.A. Medical Center during her 41 year career. Mrs. Blakeney was a longtime member of St. Mary Catholic Church. She was preceded in death by her parents, Sven and Margaret Engwall; husbands, George Stewart and David Blakeney; and grandson, Justin Payne. Mrs. Blakeney is survived by her children, Carol Statter (Jim), Cindy Burlette (Kent), Brant Stewart (Teri), Craig Stewart (Rebecca), Terry Stewart (Michelle), and Chad Stewart; sister, Elizabeth Revere; and grandchildren, Lee Hallford, Aaron Payne, Bryant Payne, Emmey Stewart, Eighmey Stewart, Daniel Burlette, and Gavyn Stewart; other relatives and friends. Visitation will be held at Radney Funeral Home on Dauphin Street on Tuesday, February 26, 2013, from 5-8 p.m. The family will receive friends at St. Mary Catholic Church on Wednesday, February 27, from 10 a.m. until the 11 a.m. celebration of the Mass of Christian Burial.
